Gwyneth Paltrow shares phone sex tips for couples to spice up lockdown

Gwyneth Paltrow has offered her top tips for couples to spice up their sex lives with a little bit of phone sex action.

The saucy 47-year-old actress-turned-lifestyle blogger shared her “Beginners Guide” to getting intimate over the blower on her website, Goop.

Turning to sexpert, Stephen Snyder – a sex and relationship therapist - for advice, the Oscar winner also recommended some items for fans to buy from her website to add additional pleasure to their telephonic love making.

Gwynnies “Phone Sex Starter Kit” includes a “tennis coach vibrator,” costing £45, “sliquid organics” lubricant costing £12.15, a special “sex journal for couples” to note down their sexcapades costing £21, and another “wink” vibrator set from Crave costing £64.

Sex expert Stephen recommends couples not to overthink when participating in phone sex.

He says: “The biggest obstacle is probably worrying you’ll be bad at it. That you won’t be creative enough, or you’ll run out of sexy things to say and your partner will decide you’re boring.

“Some people feel they need to put on a bit of a show so that their partner won’t think they’re a lousy virtual hookup.

You can even find classes on ‘how to talk dirty like a porn star.’ But that’s silly, because in reality most partners just want to know you’re authentically aroused.

“The only way to be ‘good’ at virtual sex is to enjoy yourself.”

The article posted on Gwyneth’s website – titled How to Have Fulfilling Phone Sex – also asks for advice on how to endure all parties are being satisfied.

However, Stephen warns: “You can’t, really. Remember, this isn’t regular sex. It’s virtual sex.

“You’re not anchored by proximity and touch, so you’re likely going to have fairly different experiences.”

He advises: “We couples therapists have a general principle called ‘staying in your own lane.’ Just stay focused on your own experience.

“Don’t worry too much about your partner, and don’t try to direct their experience. Unless they ask you to, of course.”

Gwyneth’s tips for phone sex come after she previously recommended a list of her favourite vibrators for fans to test out during lockdown.

While the actress’s website has been mocked for other past tips – from steaming vaginas, to introducing love eggs during sex play – Goop is valued at over £200 million, suggesting Gwyneth is familiar with the old adage, “sex sells”.
