A 33-year-old driver has been arrested after a minivan crashed into the front-end of a Subway restaurant in Cambridge.

It happened in the St. Andrews and Cedar Street area on Friday afternoon.

Waterloo Regional Police said they initially received reports of a dangerous driver travelling through Kitchener, and in Cambridge.

It's alleged a minivan crashed into multiple other vehicles, fled the scene, and ultimately plunged into the Subway location.

There's no word on injuries at this time.

Police have made an appeal for witnesses and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
