Take That fans compare ‘unrecognisable’ Mark Owen to X Factor reject Wagner in virtual concert

TAKE THAT fans were astounded tonight as they compared ‘unrecognisable’ band member Mark Owen to X Factor reject Wagner.

The foursome got together for a virtual concert with Meerkat Music but many watchers were more blown away by their looks rather than voices.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald joined up with Robbie Williams for the first time in two years for the online charity concert.

Each of the band performed from their homes during the lockdown, with Robbie, 46, joking that their first online performance was “less weird than standing in front of 80,000 people”.

The trio began with a rendition of Greatest Day and Shine, before Williams joined them for the remainder of the six-song set.

Money raised by the performance, which was hosted by Compare The Market, will go to music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, and Crew Nation, which supports concert crew workers.

Fans loved the concert but many were surprised at how much Mark Owen looked like 2010 X Factor hopeful, Wagner.

One wrote: “Mark Owen has turned into Wagner during Lockdown”

While another joked: “Nice to see Wagner is still getting some work. #TakeThat”

And a third penned: “When did Wagner from xfactor join Take That?? #TakeThat”

The concert went down a storm with many fans commenting that it was the highlight of their year.

Gary kicked off the performance from his home studio, which is outfitted with state of the art keyboards, instruments and microphones, while Mark appeared to sing from his garage complete with skate ramp and a family of surf boards.

In between songs, the group spoke casually with one another, discussing the new skills they had acquired during lockdown.
