Ben Bruce, Zlantan, Omojuwa, others on Ogoloma’s New Generation Africa platform
by EditorNew Generation Africa is a new youth friendly media platform that is dedicated to youth-oriented conversations and activities. The platform is an offshoot of Interface Africa founded by Daniel Ogoloma, a Nigerian-British youth advocate, community leader and political activist based in London.
At inception of New Generation Africa, Ogoloma made it clear that the mission behind the creation of this multifaceted platform is to provide a veritable medium for exceptional and successful youths to express themselves and also inspire their army of followers and fans towards achieving greatness in their chosen fields.
He emphasised that New Generation Africa is out to change the negative narratives about young people, change the false perceptions and bring to the fore the impactful contributions of youths to their societies. The aim is to create a point of convergence where young people can interact, educate, mentor, entertain and inspire one another.
In order to achieve these goals, the founder of New Generation Africa has been very busy lately on the platform, hosting thought provoking conversations with eminent young people who have distinguished themselves in business, law, politics, sport, leadership, entertainment, branding, economy, entrepreneurship and other relevant fields.
In a series of live interviews in one of their social media platforms, Ogoloma has played host to Ubi Franklin, one of the newly appointed Special Assistants to the Cross River state Governor. While on the programme, Mr Ubi Franklin spoke on the responsibilities that come with his new appointment and shared several nuggets for success with the audience.
Chioma Ikokwu was also on the platform. Ikokwu, a successful business owner has built a global business from the scratch through hard work, dedication and determination. She used her time on the platform to encourage young ladies to emulate her by being positive, hardworking and persevering at their work instead of giving their bodies to men cheaply in order to get favours.
Another guest on the platform was Honorable Dapo Adesina, a seasoned Nigerian politician. Hon. Adesina shed more lights on the strategies behind most of his policies that are related to youths and expressed his desire to see more youth participation in politics and decision making in general.
Zlatan Ibile, a popular Nigerian Afro hip-hop musician was also a guest on the platform. The energetic singer talked about the need for trust among artistes, artiste managers and record labels in Nigeria. He also used the opportunity to vent his anger at the deplorable situation of the country.
Other prominent guests on the platform include William Uchemba, a philanthropist and youth advocate. Mawuli Gavor, an entertainer. Alex Asogwa, a former house mate in the Big Brother reality TV show. Adebayo Adewale, a successful African digital entrepreneur and JJ Omojuwa, a notable voice in Nigerian politics.
