Miryalguda (Nalgonda): The incident of villagers attacking a VRA on Thursday came to light late on Friday, when he approached the senior officials of revenue department seeking justice.
According to information, the residents of Partu Naik Thanda of Kondaprolu village attacked Kondrapolu VRA Vijay on Thursday evening on the charges of obstructing the issuing of passbooks of positioned Shikam lands of the village pond.
The Thanda people had positioned in pond Shikam lands were ventured into argument when the VRA came to the village on official visit.
Suddenly, a few people beat the VRA alleging that he was responsible for not issuing passbooks to them and warned him that they will set him ablaze like Abdullapurmet Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy.
The shocked VRA dialed 100 and approached Dameracherla police station to lodge a complaint against the attackers
but couldn't do as the station officer is not available.
The incident came to light on Friday, when the VRA approached his department officials in Miryalguda.
It came to know that as many as 70 acres out of the 170 acres of Shikham lands of village pond is in the possession of Thanda people and passbooks are issued to them till date.
Local SI put bind over case on 10 residents of Parthi Nayak Thanda for attacking VRA Vijay. Speaking to the media, Dameracherla Tahsildar Raju informed that a report on pending land issues of the mandal will be submitted to the superiors for necessary action.
