Three people rushed to hospital after Glenrothes disturbance as cops race to scene

THREE people have been rushed to hospital after a Glenrothes disturbance which saw cops lock down the scene.

Police were called to Ryan Road in the Fife town after the alarm was raised at 4pm this afternoon.

Officers confirmed that two men and a woman were taken to hospital as a result of the disturbance.

It is understood their injuries are not life-threatening.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance following a report of a disturbance on Ryan Road, Glenrothes, which was received at around 4pm on Friday, 29 May, involving a number of individuals.

"Two men and a woman are currently being treated for injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."

We told how a man was rushed to hospital earlier today after falling victim to a hit and run in Blantyre.

Police are appealing for information after a 47-year-old male was knocked down by a motor at Anderson Gardens, near Station Road in the area.
