Cops called to ongoing incident in Fife street as three people treated for injuries

Officers remain at the scene in Ryan Road, Glenrothes, after being called at around 4pm following reports of a disturbance.

Three people have been injured after police were called to a large scale rammy in Fife.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Ryan Road, Glenrothes, after being alerted at around 4pm on Friday, May 29.

A heavy police presence remains at the scene as officers carrying out enquiries in the area.

Following the incident two men and woman are currently being treated for their injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.

Local residents claimed the incident may have involved a knife or a similar weapon.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers are currently in attendance following a report of a disturbance on Ryan Road, Glenrothes, which was received at around 4pm on Friday, 29 May, involving a number of individuals.

“Two men and a woman are currently being treated for injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
