To ensure customer safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, all Samsung Exclusive Stores in the country is now Suraksha-certified. For those who’re unaware, Suraksha is a Hindi word that means protection. It is a public-private retail initiative to ensure sufficient health and safety methods are implemented in the stores. Suraksha certified means that the store offers a safe and secure environment for shoppers, owners, and of course, store owners.

As a part of this certification, Samsung Exclusive stores have gone through the Suraksha training program. Once the training period is over, the owner will have to undergo an assessment test clearing which results in the Suraksha certification. With Suraksha certification, the customers and employees will feel confident to shop and work without fearing about the health and contracting infection. So, what are the things that the chaebol will implement as a part of this certification?

Well, all the Exclusive Stores will undergo complete sanitization before opening to customers each day. Thanks to the training, all the employees will follow certain safety and hygiene guidelines. This means using hand sanitizers at touchpoints such as store entrance and exit, sanitizing swiping machines, and more. Even the swiping machine will undergo sanitization before handing it over to the customer for payment purposes. Furthermore, the stores will encourage customers to use contactless payment options. Everyone inside the store will have to follow social distancing with a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.
