Watch Gameplay Footage of 'League of Legends: Wild Rift' for Mobile
Arriving on consoles and mobile later this year.
by Isaac RouseRiot Games released gameplay footage for League of Legends: Wild Rift, the console, and mobile spin-off title of the original League of Legends game on PC. In the presentation video above, the entire Champions roster is showcased alongside available skins and revamped gameplay.
Riot previously stated that Wild Rift won’t be a direct port of the original PC version of League of Legends; opting for a liter version instead. The starting roster incorporates 36 out of the current 148 characters available in the original LoL title. A wide variety of healers, mages, marksman, assassins, brawlers, and more are featured. Some returning Champions include Ashe, Aurelion Sol, Blitzcrank, Jax, Janna, and Jinx to name a few. Gameplay has also been tweaked to better suit mobile and consoles, as it now features a two-stick setup alongside shorter matches and smaller maps.
In addition to a new version of LoL, the developer released its Legends of Runeterra card game earlier this year, with plans to officially launch its new team-based shooter Valorant on June 2.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is expected to arrive in 2020, with pre-registration available today.
