Qureshi warns India against any ‘foolish act’
by Our CorrespondentISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that India’s policy in Kashmir has failed and warned New Delhi not to resort to any foolish act, stressing that in case of any aggression, Pakistan is ready to give a befitting reply.
In statement issued on Friday, Qureshi said another spying attempt of India was foiled by Pakistan when an intruding drone was shot down. “Indian drone was violating borders. Indian spy drone came within 700 metres of our territory,” he said.
“India is constantly losing and its surgical strike drama has failed,” the minister added. “India is looking for excuses for a false flag operation. My message to India is that no one should be foolish. If India does anything stupid, we are ready.”
The minister said that India would get a befitting reply for any foolish act. He said that the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed in Kashmir and also in Ladakh. He added that New Delhi was trying to divert world attention from its internal problems.
He noted that the Indian media was also criticising the policies of its government, while their army was also not satisfied with the policy of the government. “The Indian Army felt that it was being pushed to a cul-de-sac. The path taken by the Indian government is wrong,” he added.
