Coronation Street hinted at a major divide in the Metcalfe household on Friday night, that has left fans certain Geoff will face a comeuppance soon.
The character was released from hospital in the latest episode, weeks on from being attacked by wife Yasmeen Nazir.
She stabbed him in the neck and almost killed him, hitting out in self-defence after months of controlling behaviour and abuse.
Yasmeen is now in prison awaiting a court case, while Geoff continues to feign innocence and make her look like the villain.
Few people know what he's capable of, with Yasmeen's granddaughter Alya and her boyfriend Ryan Connor doing what they can to expose Geoff.
Yasmeen is in a bad place and is blaming herself, refusing to speak out over what she has endured.
She's far more worried about making sure Geoff is okay, still wanting to do as he asks as she remains under his control.
But one resident in Weatherfield looks to be siding towards Yasmeen, and it might just be the thing that saves her.
Geoff's daughter-in-law Sally Metcalfe made it clear she wasn't done with Yasmeen in the latest episode, as she listened to what Alya had to say about him.
As her husband Tim, Geoff's son, hit out at Alya and kept blaming Yasmeen, Sally seemed to be considering both sides and refused to shut down Alya or Ryan.
Later on as Tim fumed over Yasmeen and called her "mad", Sally hit back and told him to stop.
Tim defended his comments because his dad had almost died, and the pair ended up rowing.
Sally seemed to not trust Geoff as he spoke of what was unfolding, while she also refused to badmouth Yasmeen - which is not like her, as she normally likes a gossip and to take the moral high ground.
It's been revealed she could be a major problem for Geoff in upcoming scenes as he tries to keep up his facade.
Viewers watching the scenes believed this could be the moment Sally realises the truth, and that she will be the one to stop Geoff and save Yasmeen.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
