The Ghost of Tsushima State of Play brought us a fascinating new look at the upcoming game from Sucker Punch. However, while it did provide some answers, it also raised a few questions. We saw the game's UI for the first time, including a curious meter in the bottom left while Jin was fighting. There's a series of golden circles above what's presumably the health bar, but what are they for?

In a new Q&A over on the PlayStation Blog, the developer provides a little detail on this. The circles represent Jin's Resolve, and are built up by succeeding in battle. There are two ways you'll be able to make use of this Resolve bar -- you can either use it to heal up, or you can consume some of the circles to pull off special combat moves. It's sure to add a small tactical wrinkle while you're fighting the Mongols.

It's a system that, oddly enough, reminds us of the special meter in Marvel's Spider-Man. As you fight in that game, you build up a glowing bar, and when you complete a segment, you can either use it to heal or to execute a cool finishing attack.

So, that explains that. If you want more info on Ghost of Tsushima, check out that Q&A on the PS Blog for some interesting tidbits.
