10 Luxury Hotels In Delhi Offer Paid Quarantine To Mild Symptomatic Patients; Details Inside

The Delhi government on Friday announced a list of ten hotels, including two premium hotels to be COVID-19-dedicated facilities in the city. Among the high-end hotels are Hotel Le Meridien and J.W. Marriot which will offer a stay to those eligible for home quarantine.

In an official notice released today, the Delhi Health Department said patients with mild symptoms or pre-symptomatic cases are allowed to be "home quarantined", and such people will be allowed to quarantine themselves at 10 designated hotels on a payment basis.

According to the reports, Hotel Le Meridien has agreed to offer 200 rooms and will charge a tariff of Rs 4,000 plus taxes. Similarly, J W Marriott has allotted 100 rooms will charge Rs 4000 plus taxes. At least five of the ten hotels, including J.W. Marriot, are in Aerocity while others are nearer to south Delhi.

  8. ITC Welcome in Dwarka (250 rooms)
  9. Taj Vivanta in Dwarka (150 rooms)
  10. Suryaa Hotel in New Friends Colony (200 rooms)

Going by the official release, Health Secretary Padmini Singla said that “All the hotels shall provide regular services including three meals, housekeeping and disinfection, to patients.”

As per the notice, the premium hotels can charge Rs 4,000 (plus taxes) in single occupancy while for double occupancy, the maximum limit is Rs 4,800 (plus taxes). For the remaining eight hotels, the maximum limit for single occupancy is Rs 3,100 while for double, it is Rs 4,000 plus taxes with three meals.
