Lockdown 5.0: Rajasthan to open all monuments, museums from June 1

Eyeing a revival on tourism business in the state, the Rajasthan government has allowed all monuments and museums to reopen from June 1.
The monuments and museums in the state have been shut down since March 18, when the Centre directed all such establishments to close doors for tourists to eliminate changes of Covid-19 spread among visitors.
The Rajasthan government has issued an SOP to the authorities maintaining the museums and monuments, directing them to practice regular sanitisation and ensure social distancing among visitors. All staff and visitors will have to go through thermal screening before entering the establishments.
The state government has directed the concerned administrations to coordinate with the tourism department and organise cultural programmes by folk artists on June 1 to mark the reopening. The common visitors will be allowed entry from June 2.
Tourism is a major source of revenue for Rajasthan, which houses several World Heritage sites.
