COVID-19: All returnees from Green Zone in NE to be released after 14 days institutional quarantine
Dimapur, May 29: Keeping in view the number of likely returnees to the state in the coming days, as well as taking into consideration the present occupancy and capacity of the Quarantine Centres, particularly in Dimapur and Kohima, a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Nagaland today decided that all the returnees to the state from the Green Zone in the Northeastern states (except Sikkim) should be released if they have completed a total of 14 days of institutional quarantine and are asymptomatic for undergoing another 14 days home quarantine.
The meeting decided that all returnees from the Red Zone or who have cross Red Zones en route to Nagaland, including the returnees from Chennai on May 22 and presently undergoing institutional quarantine at Dimapur and Kohima and bound for other districts and who have tested negative for COVID-19 would be transferred to their respective districts for undergoing the remaining period of institutional quarantine at the designated centres in their districts followed by another 14 days home quarantine.
It was decided that sending and receiving districts would make the plans in advance and have proper coordination so that the transfer of returnees from one district to another is carried out in a smooth manner and as per the laid down protocols.
There would be separate transport arrangements for transportation of the returnees from Green Zones proceeding for 14 days home quarantine and the returnees from the Red Zone proceeding for further quarantine.
