Samsung launched the Galaxy Book S model for the first time last year. The laptop is a super-slim, fanless device backed by the Snapdragon 8cx mobile platform and it runs on Windows 10. The Koren tech giant has now announced an upgrade – the Galaxy Book S 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy Book S 2020 retains the 13.3-inch Full HD touch display on its predecessor. However, Samsung decided to replace the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx compute platform with a new Intel Core processor. Thus, the laptop becomes the first device to offer the processor with Intel’s Foveros 3D stacking technology and a hybrid CPU architecture. It intelligently balances multiple high-performing processes during use while conserving battery when not in use, says the company. The laptop comes with 8GB (LPDDR4X) RAM, 256/512GB eUFS storage and a MicroSD slot for expansion up to 1TB).

The Galaxy Book S 2020 comes with 4G LTE, support as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+). It weighs just 950g and only 11.8mm at its thickest point. It lets you boost the brightness up to 600 nits using a two-key shortcut. Samsung also partners Microsoft to allow users to enjoy the Android operating system on your Windows PC for a seamless and continuous device-to-device experience. With Microsoft’s Your Phone feature, you can sync your mobile device to receive notifications, messages, cross-device copy & paste and photo transfer, all on the Galaxy Book S.
