Harry Redknapp has been blasted for appearing to flout social distancing rules while enjoying a drink next to a pal. 

The former Spurs boss, 73, was pictured sipping a glass of wine in the sun over the bank holiday weekend.

Harry, who won the 18th series of I'm A Celeb in 2018, was snapped standing within two metres of his friend. 

Brits have been ordered to stay at least two metres away from other people in public to help stop the spread of coronavirus. 

Harry has made several social media posts urging his fans to 'stay alert' and applauding the NHS. 

Yet footage shows that the star does not appear to be practising what he preaches. 

Toots Pardoe, 37, noticed Harry standing near Rick Stein's restaurant on the sun-soaked Sandbanks peninsula at 3pm on May 23. 

She said: 'It’s really frustrating and annoying when you see a celebrity acting like that. He wasn’t doing social distancing at all.

'You see someone like him not keeping two metres apart and think why do the rules not apply to everyone?

'We’re all supposed to be in lockdown and he’s having a glass of red and a laugh with his mate.' 

The strip of restaurants and bars - usually busy on a sunny weekend - overlooks the area’s famous white sandy beach.

It is very close to Harry’s £3.5million pad in the exclusive coastal neighbourhood, just outside Bournemouth.

Toots explained she photographed the football star as she didn’t want celebrities thinking it was 'one rule for some and different rules for others'.

She said: 'I was driving with my sister, and noticed Harry and a group of people outside the wine bar.

'There was a singer standing in the doorway, and other people having drinks.

'Harry was standing very close to his friend. People were beeping their horns at him.

'My sister wondered whether at his age he should be shielding.

'They weren’t social distancing, people were in groups and leaning by the road.'

The Government has said anyone over 70 should take particular care to minimise contact with other households.

People in that age group are far more likely to have serious symptoms if they catch the coronavirus.

Around four in five coronavirus-related deaths are of people older than 70.

Harry has made several social media posts urging his fans to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

On Wednesday he posted a photo of wife Sandra walking their two dogs.

In the caption Harry wrote: 'Make sure to stay alert gang and stay safe.'

Previously he’s uploaded pictures of he and Sandra applauding the NHS.

Harry said: 'Another Thursday clapping for our incredible NHS Million and our key workers. We will never be able to thank you all enough.'

Harry’s representatives have been approached for comment.
