“Every year, Christians from all over the world gather in Namugongo to commemorate the Uganda Martyrs who were persecuted for their faith. However, this year due to the government restrictions on public gatherings because of COVID-19, we are going to have celebrations in Namugongo but with very few invited people. The President has been invited as the Chief Guest.”

Meanwhile, the Archbishop will make an on-site visit to Namugongo and thereafter address a press conference together with the Chairman of Namugongo Development Committee, Retired Bishop Jackson Matovu, and the Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira.
