Nokia C5 Endi, C2 Tava, and C2 Tennen release: Simple designs and MediaTek chipsets from ~RM304

When it comes to brands that do well enough in the entry and mid-range segment for smartphones, Nokia is one of them. A few of them were unveiled back in March but the brand has been mostly quiet this year, till the sudden unveiling of three new devices. Yesterday, HMD Global announced the Nokia C5 Endi, C2 Tava, and C2 Tennen entry-level smartphones.

According to XDA Developers, the C5 Endi is a 6.5-inch device that features a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It's also got a 4000mAh battery and a triple-camera setup, so overall it's decent for the average user. Next is the C2 Tava, a smaller 5.45-inch device with a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a 3000mAh battery and a dual-camera setup at the back. The third one is weird because the C2 Tennen is identical to the C2 Tava. However, HMD Global did not clarify what the differences are outside of pricing.

Speaking of pricing, the Nokia C5 Endi will retail for USD 169.99 (~RM739). It's the priciest one amongst the three, but still within the budget range for those aiming for an entry-level device. As for the C2 Tava and C2 Tennen, they are priced at USD 109.99 (~RM478) and USD 69.99 (~RM304). From the difference in pricing, we can assume that there will be a major difference between the two that hasn't been announced yet.

Currently, HMD Global hasn't confirmed whether these devices are coming to Malaysia. But entry-level devices, depending on brand and features, tend to sell rather well in our country so it's possible.
