Tina Ezekwe: Police ASP, inspector arrested over killing of teenager
- The police command in Lagos have condoled with the family of girl, Tina Ezekwe, who was killed by one of its officers
- The police spokesman Bala Elkana, revealed that Tina was killed by a stray bullet from an officer on Tuesday, May 26
- Elkana disclosed that the officers linked to the death of the victim will be brought to book when found guilty upon conclusion of ongoing investigation

The police command in Lagos have opened up on the identies of its top officers that were linked to the killing of a 17-year-old girl, Tina Ezekwe, on Tuesday, May 26.
In a statement made available to Legit.ng, the spokesman of the command in the state, DSP Bala Elkana, revealed that following preliminary investigation, the officers said to have been involved in the death of Ezekwe are ASP Theophilus Otobo and Inspector Oguntoba Olamigoke attached to Bariga Police Station.

According to Elkana, the tragic incident took place when the officers fired shots that hit the teenager in her lap and one other person in response to a a crisis around Berger by Third Mainland Bridge.
The police spokeman revealed that while Ezekwe died after battling for her life after two days, the other victim survived and is presently in a stable condition.
Elkana said that the police have since been in contact with the bereaved family and promised that the "perpetrators of this dastardly act will face the full weight of the law."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that videos had emerged showing a Nigerian, named Sunny Mike, seriously beaten up in Delhi, the capital of India.
In response to the maltreatment, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) said that it was aware of the situation and investigations are ongoing. The commission also called on Nigerians in India to be calm.

The clip shared by NIDCOM shows a Nigerian looking tiredly beaten as an Indian man held him up by his shirt. Other Indians surround the scene without stepping in.

In a fuller video and report by Within Nigeria, the man in the above video later turned up dead from the horrible incident. According to the local media, Mike was accused of theft by an Indian lady as passers-by swooped on him. Before the police could come to the scene, the man was already dead.
