Man allegedly butchers hands of twin brother during fight over girlfriend in Imo

A man has allegedly butchered his twin brother with a machete in Imo state during a fight over his girlfriend.

The man identified as Peter Ogbonna who is now in Police custody allegedly butchered his twin brother Paul Ogbonna with a machete in Umuonunkwo kindred, Ndimoko Arondizuogu in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state on Monday, May 25, 2020.

According to reports, the twin brother hardly got along and were always in the habit of fighting each other.

The two were said to have been fighting over Peter’s girlfriend’s child as Paul is allegedly not in support of Peter dating a single mother with 5 kids.

On the day of the incident, Paul was said to have beaten up the child, inflicting physical injury on the child. Peter however got back home to hear Paul beat up his girlfriend’s child and in annoyance picked up a sharp cutlass and went into a fight with his twin brother.

He allegedly butchered Paul’s hands during the fight and left him fighting for his life.
