Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has set out the Serie A club's plan for on-loan Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international has spent the season on loan in Italy looking to revive his career after struggling to make a significant impact at United.

However, the former Arsenal man has struggled for form and fitness during his spell at the San Siro, missing a large chunk of the season with an ankle problem.

With Sanchez unavailable, Inter haven't endured many problems under Antonio Conte this term and sat third in Serie A prior to the league's suspension in March.

That has fuelled speculation that Inter will not make a move to sign Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis when their loan agreement with United expires.

However, the South American star will have the opportunity to show his worth when the Serie A campaign resumes on June 20 and Ausilio has stated he will stay until the end of the season, although no decision has been made on a permanent switch.

He'll stay with us until the end of the season, then we'll decide about his future with Manchester United. He'll have the opportunity to show his skills," he told Sky Sports Italia.
