Complaints of tree fall were reported in several places

45 trees uprooted due to heavy rain in Bengaluru

by

Over 45 trees were uprooted on Friday, which also proves the fact that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has not pruned trees ahead of the monsoon season. Over the last one week, hundreds of trees fell due to heavy rain.

However, there were no casualties but the series of tree fall has sent a cautionary signal to those wanting to venture out during the rains.

BBMP received about three complaints of water stagnation, although several places were submerged, especially in low-lying areas.
