DoSE issues guidelines for admission to Class XI

Dimapur, May 29: In view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic in the state, the School Education Department has issued guidelines for the admission process for Class XI for adherence by all educational institutions in the state.
According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy, admission forms must be made available for online download and submission.
Class XI admission in all Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS) in Nagaland would be online. The process of online admission would commence on June 10. For Government Higher Secondary Schools, an online platform has been created by the School Education Department. The details of the online platform would be communicated to all Government Higher Secondary Schools and students in a subsequent notification.
The Chief Secretary said all private institutions in Nagaland should device mechanism for online admission for respective schools. The process of online admission should commence on June 10.
All principals/heads of GHSS and private institutions would ensure that manual collection and submission of forms, offline mode of admission is not entertained to the extent possible as it would lead to assembling of students. In case of unavoidable circumstances, where offline admission adopted for students who are unable to access the online facilities, social distancing, sanitization and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department should be strictly adhered to, the notification stated.
The CS also asked the school heads to furnish details of offline admission to the Department of School Education on a daily basis without fail to email id dosenl.admission@gmail.com.
Online payment/collection mode of admission fees should be made available to the applicants/students by the principal/head of private institutions. In case of unavoidable manual payment/collection of admission fees, the SOP issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department should be strictly adhered to.
All educational institutions/schools both private and government have been directed not to conduct any type of entrance examination for admission to Class XI during the current year. (Page News Service)
