Four more women accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault
by Mel EvansHarvey Weinstein has been accused by four more women of sexual assault, as he serves a 23-year prison sentence for rape.
The disgraced producer has now been accused of assaulting three women and a teen, who was 17 at the time, between 1984 and 2013, allegedly some after meetings with Weinstein at the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals.
In court documents filed in New York this week by Jane Doe I, Jane Doe II, Jane Doe III and Jane Doe IV, one anonymous accuser, known as Jane Doe II in the suit, claimed she was only 17 when Weinstein ‘falsely imprisoned, sexually assaulted, sexually battered and raped her’ in 1994.
According to the suit, the Tennessee woman claimed Weinstein asked her to his hotel room to discuss her prospective entertainment career.
It’s then alleged Weinstein demanded she ‘sexually gratify him’, and ‘demanded she perform oral sex’, he also allegedly ‘forced her to remove her clothes’ and raped her.
It was claimed following the act Weinstein made the Plaintiff ‘give him her driver’s license’ and ‘told her that if she ever told anyone about what had just happened, he would not only make sure she never got to act in any films, but also have his associates track her down and physically harm her and her family’.
Also in the suit, a 70-year old woman from Ecuador alleged when she was 34 Weinstein pinned her against the door and fondled her in his hotel room in Cannes in 1984.
A 38-year old woman also said after Weinstein met her at Cipriani restaurant in Manhattan in 2008 he allegedly raped her a few days later in his Soho apartment, threatening he would ruin her if she told anyone.
Another allegation stemmed from 2013 in which a 35-year-old Hungarian woman, who was 26 at the time, met Weinstein at the Venice Film Festival with the former mogul allegedly forcing her to perform oral sex on him following an audition at his office.
Weinstein’s brother Bob Weinstein, as well as Miramax and Disney are also named in the suit, however there is no suggestion of allegations of inappropriate behaviour, and Bob Weinstein has long denied knowledge of his brother’s misconduct.
Weinstein is currently in New York’s Wende Correctional Facility after being sentenced to more than two decades in prison after being found guilty of assault.
He also faces charges in Los Angeles stemming from two incidents in February 2013 – including one count of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by force.
