Sumi Hoho urges CM to review decision to send COVID-19 +ve patients to respective dists

Dimapur, May 29: The Sumi Hoho has urged Nagaland Chief Minister to review the decision of sending COVID-19 positive patients to their respective districts.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Sumi Hoho president, Hekhushe Shikhu and general secretary, I Nikheto Jimomi stated that the recent demand of Kohima Village Council, regarding quarantining of Naga returnees in their own respective districts could be due to lack of manpower and requisite facilities in Kohima.
However, it said the Sumi Hoho is ready to bring back its people (returnees) to their district but they need basic required equipments, facilities and manpower.
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister for having personally inspected the condition and capacity of District Covid-19 Hospital, where infrastructure, manpower, equipments etc is one of the worst in Nagaland, the Sumi Hoh demanded that there should be improvement of infrastructure, ICU facilities, BSL-3 lab and other requisite facilities like that of Kohima and other well equipped hospitals in the state, in order to accommodate the returnees to District Covid-19 Hospital at Zunheboto.
Till such time, the Sumi Hoho requested the Government to retain all the Covid-19 positive patients at the place where facilities are available, so that they can recover at the earliest. (Page News Service)
