June Bank Holiday weekend 2020 weather forecast - Ireland to be roasted by scorching conditions as temperatures soar
Temperatures as high as 25 degrees predicted for the bank holiday weekend.
by Kirsty DowdallWe've had a sunny week in Ireland so far and Met Éireann reports confirm the nice weather is set to last the duration of the weekend.
The weekend is set to be very warm and mostly dry right through the weekend into early next week.
Met Éireann reports: "Temperatures will return to normal or slightly below after mid week with an increasing chance of a little rain or a few showers."
Saturday
Saturday is set to be dry and sunny in most places. There is a chance of showers along the west coast.
It will be warm with temperatures reaching their peak in the afternoon at 20 to 25 degrees. It will be warmest in the midlands and west.
Winds will be light to moderate southeasterly.
Sunday
On Sunday the sun will continue with temperatures reaching 20 to 25 degrees countrywide.
Sunday night will be dry but there are a few mist or shallow fog patches possible Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
Monday
Finally, the bank holiday Monday will be mainly dry with a mix of cloudy and sunny spells.
The odd light shower may occur in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 22 to 25 degrees.
