Real-time strategy game, COVID: The Outbreak, releases today on Steam
by John PapadopoulosJujubee has announced that its new real-time strategy game, COVID: The Outbreak, will release today on Steam. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also released a trailer that you can find below.
As said, COVID: The Outbreak is a real-time strategy game. In this game, you play the role of a global organization that has to deal with a global pandemic. Players will be able to issue decrees, manage resources, develop projects, and construct buildings.
As the leader of the GHO your task is to contain the spread of a coronavirus and save humanity. In addition to crisis management, the game provides the players with information on how to behave in the event of an epidemic. Additionally, it provides countermeasures, and ways to protect yourselves. The game is based on the data published by WHO and on the information acquired from experts and consultants.
Through your actions, you will be able to see how difficult it is to manage during a crisis. You’ll also see what impact various decisions can have on an effective fight against a global epidemic, which can be caused by listening to charlatans or the lack of appropriate medical equipment.
Lastly, the virus in the game will adapt to your actions by means of mutation. Thus, players must predict and take into account its transmission abilities, time of incubation and drug resistance.
Enjoy!
