Allergy sufferers go wild for 'amazing' 99p hayfever wipes that trap pollen as mother claims they 'gave her son his life back' when nothing else worked

A mother has claimed that 99p hayfever wipes have instantly cured her son's hayfever symptoms after trying 'everything going' to ease his allergies.
Margaret McInnes, from Scotland, took to UK Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains where she shared a picture of the hand and face wipes which are available for purchase at The Range or Savers .
She insisted that her son had been 'given his life back' after by the product, and shoppers quickly took to the comments to hail the wipes 'amazing' and insist they're the 'best' thing to ease hayfever symptoms.
The tea tree and peppermint-infused wipes are designed to be used on the face and hands to trap and remove pollen before it can enter the airways and eyes and cause irritation.
It's not the first time the wipes have gone virla on social media, but with the Met Office forecasting a sky high pollen count over the weekend as the temperature remains in the 20s, users have began sharing the handy product once again.
Sharing a snap of the wipes, the mother penned: 'Just a tip for anyone who suffers badly from hay fever. My son has tried everything going but these wipes gave him his life back!
'Amazon sell them for around £3.50 a pack but you can get them in The Range and Savers for 99p.
'The wipes are soaked in peppermint and tea tree oil so really soothe the skin and eyes and trap the pollen.'
The wipes, which retail at 30 for 99p, are suitable for use on both hands and face, and are described as being 'infused with peppermint and tea tree oil to soothe skin and prevent pollen from irritating it further.'
Facebook users quickly took to the comments section to share excitement at the discovery, with the post racking up 7.4K comments and 3.8K likes.
'I bought some last year to try and can safely say deffo recommend', said one.
Another agreed: 'I’ve used these the last two years there brilliant.'
'Thank you for sharing people with hay fever can suffer really badly so much appreciated for that', enthused another.
What are the symptoms of hayfever?
Hay fever is an allergic reaction to pollen, typically when it comes into contact with your mouth, nose, eyes and throat. Pollen is a fine powder from plants.
Symptoms include:
- a runny or blocked nose
- itchy, red or watery eyes
- itchy throat, mouth, nose and ears
- loss of smell
- pain around your temples and forehead
- headache
- earache
- feeling tired
The NHS recommends staying indoors whenever possible, keeping windows and doors shut, and showering and changing clothes after being outside to minimise contact with pollen.

Many shoppers had already noticed an increase in the pollen count this year and were looking for ways to combat their hay fever.
One wrote: 'I need some of these I couldn’t breath last night and terrible today.'
