Son Reunites With Parents, Thanks To FB

VIZIANAGARAM: Social media is considered a powerful tool that has helped many people who went missing for years to reunite with their family members. Every now and then, such heart-warming stories emerge. Here is one such story from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.

A 21-year-old mentally-challenged youngster had left his home about a year ago when his parents went out for work. Jagadeesh, hailing from Kottavalasa village of LN Peta Mandal, was found by Kottavalasa police sleeping by a drain three days ago. Police had shifted him to an orphanage.
Meanwhile, a Facebook video helped police reunite him with his parents in Vizianagaram.

"On Wednesday evening, a village volunteer showed us a video of our son on Facebook," his parents told media. “Overjoyed at finding our son, we contacted the Kottavalasa police over phone and they confirmed the news," they said.

Jagadeesh's parents said that they have spent nearly Rs 4 to 5 lakhs to trace their son.

Finally, the parents met their son at the orphanage.
