Kenny Scharf Unveils First-Ever Digital Artwork

Portraying one of his signature, anthropomorphic creatures.

Following works by Michael Kagan and Lyle Owerko, Nifty Gateway Marketplace is now selling Kenny Scharf’s first-ever digital artwork online.

Scharf’s Untitled piece for the platform portrays one of his signature anthropomorphic creatures that is being sold and traded using blockchain technology in an edition of 50. Scharf’s “nifties “are still available on Nifty Gateway’s secondary marketplace, where they are trading in the $350 USD range.

Last year, Kenny Scharf unveiled one of his more recent exhibitions entitled “Optimistically Melting!” that features a series of colorful paintings, sculptures, and prints that shed light on environmental issues. Scharf often inject elements of nostalgic cartoons, classic Americana, and vintage advertisements across his distinct works.
