Staff have been trained on increased hygiene practices and the company will be conducting temperature checks every morning. Shoppers will also find hand sanitiser stations around stores and there will be a limit on the number of people allowed inside at one time.

Customers are still able to go to the store for a "comfort test" on the product they wish to buy, but they are also being asked to complete orders over the phone, through live chats or by going on the DFS website.

They have also introduced an appointment service for customers who want to seek advice and purchase furniture as quickly and efficiently as possible.
