by Sophie Law, https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/authors/sophie-law/Edinburgh Gin has released an exciting new tipple just in time for summer and is giving it away for free to kindhearted Scots.
The Scottish drinks company has launched the new sparkling wine and raspberry liqueur in a ready-to-drink can.
The Raspberry Gin Fizz is available to buy in Tesco and Sainsbury's stores this week.
To thank people working together through coronavirus, the brand has created a special, supersized ‘Neighbourhood Pack’ to be delivered to streets throughout the country who have shown the greatest community spirit.
From picking up groceries, to celebrating big birthdays, one silver lining of the pandemic has been the widespread increase in kind deeds and positivity within communities.
Edinburgh Gin is giving the public the chance to nominate a deserving neighbourhood to receive one of these limited-edition packs for free.
Each pack includes 24 cans of Raspberry Gin Fizz, doorstep gift bags and postcards that carry messages of thanks.
The packs have been specifically designed to allow neighbours to share and toast with one another from the safety of their own gardens, balconies or front doors, with a ready-to-drink format that’s easy to enjoy while observing social distancing.
To receive a limited-edition Neighbourhood Pack, Edinburgh Gin is asking people to nominate their community via the brand's online channels, sharing an example of a good deed that’s happened in their community.
Neil Boyd, UK Managing Director of Ian Macleod Distillers, who own Edinburgh Gin, said: “ Everyday acts of kindness are all around us and they deserve to be celebrated in some way.”
We realised that as well as being a great celebratory cocktail, our new Raspberry Gin Fizz cans offer a safer way for people to enjoy a drink from a distance.
“That’s why we wanted to give the best of Britain the chance to raise a can with one another before its official release, to recognise their incredible contributions over the last few months.”
Nominate your neighbourhood on the Edinburgh Gin website, Twitter, Instagram or on Facebook.
A select number will also be available to purchase online, priced at £20 for 12 or £40 for 24.
