by Online DeskThe first chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Ajit Jogi, passed away on Friday afternoon, his son Amit announced on Twitter. He was 74.

Jogi, who had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Raipur since May 9, will be laid to rest at his native place Gaurella on Saturday.
According to a medical bulletin from the Shree Narayana Hospital where he was admitted then, the former CM had suffered cardiac arrest at his residence after a tamarind seed got stuck in his windpipe and he collapsed in his wheelchair.
Three days later, doctors had said that he remained in a coma with almost negligible neurological activity.
They had attempted to revive brain activity through a natural process and started giving him ‘Audio Therapy’ by making him listen to his favourite songs through earphones, but met with little success.
