Hammers line-up River Plate swoop - reports
West Ham reportedly face a battle with a number of European clubs, including Valencia and Roma, to sign River Plate right-back Gonzalo Montiel.
Argentinian outlet Ole claims that the Hammers may make a move, having failed to sign him in the January transfer window.
West Ham reportedly tried to bring the 23-year-old in on a six-month loan deal, including a buying option of 10 million euros (around £9 million), but the offer was turned down.
Reports in Argentina claim River Plate will not accept anything less than 12 million euros.
Group training will aid West Ham - Fredericks
Ryan Fredericks believes a return to group and contact training will help West Ham as they prepare for the Premier League restart.
The defender had spent eight weeks working alone during lockdown, having injured his shoulder during the defeat to Manchester City in February.
He told the club’s official website: “You can do as much straight line running and running around the park as you like, but football fitness is something different and you can’t really replicate that by yourself, so even through we’ve done a lot, we’ve got a lot of work to do to get match-fit again.”
West Ham’s value is down
West Ham feature in the latest list of Europe’s mot valuable clubs.
According to KPMG, which has complied their fifth annual club valuation report, the Hammers suffered a 8.6 per cent decrease to £0.48 bn.
They are 18th on the 20-strong list, above French side Lyon and one place below Italian giants Napoli.
