Denzel Washington Came to Aid of Distressed Homeless Man in L.A

Denzel Washington was videotaped coming to the aid of a homeless man in distress in Los Angeles, as USA Today reports that the famed actor was guiding the man away from oncoming traffic. Another person saw Denzel, who was wearing a mask, helping the man in the street, and called police.  

The full video shows Denzel placing a hand on the man's shoulder as they spoke to police. An officer addressed the situation in a separate video, stating that Washington "saved the day" by being a good samaritan. The officer added that Denzel gave the man some face masks and after officers determined that he wasn't a harm to himself or others, the man was free to leave.
