The X Factor’s Lucy Spraggan shows off her weight loss as she celebrates 10 months sober
by Eve WagstaffLUCY Spraggan celebrated 10 months sober with a non-alcoholic beer and shared a photo of her stunning transformation with fans.
The former X Factor star looked radiant for the revealing snap that showed off her sculpted abs and toned arms.
The 28-year-old looked almost unrecognisable in the photo as she stripped down to a grey sports bra and pair of black sports leggings.
Showing off her impressive physique to celebrate 10 months of sobriety, Lucy struck a pose that highlighted her muscular figure and extensive tattoo collection.
The country singer captioned the image: “Oh, it’s just me doing my ‘stay cool, you’re only TEN MONTHS SOBER’ pose 🤩😅!!!!! 💘”
Lucy’s fans were thrilled with her success and flooded the image with their congratulations.
One wrote: “ABS-OLUTELY SMOKIN 👏🏻 10s across the board 🔥🔥”
And another added: “You look amazing! 💕”
While a third gushed: “Well done that's amazing you should be so proud of yourself 🎉 😍”
Back in April, the former X Factor star revealed she had spent 11 months hitting the gym and ditching booze into order to shed the pounds.
The singer showed off how far she's coming with two side-to-side images comparing before and after.
In the first photo, it shows Lucy on a talk show, the other shows her without her top on and showcasing her incredible abs.
But it's not just the weight loss that's changed - it's also her confidence.
She captioned the image: "Got sent these two pictures together this morning.
"Granted, I feel like absolute s**t today because I accidentally drank a milk protein shake last night (I'm lactose intolerant) and spent the entire night crying in pain on the bathroom floor as a result.
"But when I saw the picture on the left it really summed up the way I felt at that point in my life.
"Even my face. That expression was how I always felt then. I have no idea what I was talking about in this particular pic but I was disagreeing with something or questioning in a sceptical way.
"I was always on the defensive and trying to prove things to everyone else. I used to buy things and say things that I thought would impress people.
"I know these posts are probably getting a bit boring (but it's my insta so meh) but I'm really, really proud that the picture on the right and it says a lot about who I am right now.
"I'm a bit mental, I'm normally smiling (apart from about 2 hours after I drink a f**kin' milkshake), mostly top half naked, with dishevelled hair, SOBER and not giving a f**k".
She added: "It ain't about shifting the weight, it's about finally being confident in my own skin, loving my s**t tattoos and feeling healthy."
Lucy wowed The X Factor judges when she performed her own song in 2012.
She came ninth after quitting because of illness.
However, she was signed to Columbia Records and became the first star in the show's history to bag a Top 40 single and album before the live shows had even aired.
Lucy announced she split from her wife Georgina Gordon after six years in November last year.
She took to Instagram to announce the break up just three years after they got married.
