A deaf mother identified as Justine Bate is inundated with hundreds of orders from care homes after designing face masks with a plastic window over the mouth to allow lip reading.
The 42-year-old woman initially created the masks to help herself and her 10-year-old daughter Teona before she began to get orders for them.

According to Daily Mail, she already sold 42 on the morning of May 27 for £5.99 each (N2,856.94), including postage and packaging.

Legit.ng notes that her husband identified as Bate said: "We can't make them quickly enough for what people need.
"From the messages, we are getting a lot of people from care homes - people who have got dementia and children who have got certain types of autism where they are actually scared of people with this full face mask on.
"It is easier as they do not get scared."
In other news, a deaf husband and wife in Indonesia have reportedly created special face masks that will enable hearing-impaired people to lip-read amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, the use of face masks has been on the rise globally. With the invention by the deaf couple, others like them are now being considered in the production of safety kits as the pandemic continues.
A Twitter user identified as That Freaky Alien said she loves the invention.

She, however, added: "I was also told tho that many deaf people (mostly those born deaf) might not be able to lip read. At least in English. Idk if this is true. But I've had people say that to me. Grew up with deaf and partially deaf classmates and teachers."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a woman took to Twitter to share her success story, in which she said she had finally achieved her dreams after a rough life journey.
The woman with the handle @Olorienem on the microblogging site said she was married off early, betrayed by loved ones and kidnapped by a man she helped.
She said she sold oranges, yams and mango in Otukpo. According to her, she also sold garri and plantain in Ore.
The woman also disclosed that she sold second-hand clothes in Lagos, adding that she went into real estate and sale of jewelries.
She said she became a graduate and went for her MBA, brought up two kids as a single mother.
