Fifteen-year-old charged with arson following incident in Aberdare

Emergency services were called to the scene on Thursday afternoon

A teenager has been charged with arson after an incident in Aberdare.

Police were called to a fire in Cannon Street, Aberdare, on Thursday afternoon.

South Wales Police said that a 15-year-old was charged with arson with recklessness as to endangering life.

He was also charged with assault of a police officer.

A spokesman for the force said that the fire was in the street and no-one was seriously injured in the incident.
