Swimmer dies after being pulled from lake at beauty spot in North Wales
by Holly ChristodoulouA SWIMMER has died after being pulled from a lake at a beauty spot in North Wales.
Emergency crews were scrambled to Bala Lake in Gwynedd at around 4.50pm yesterday when the man was spotted "getting into difficulties" in the water.
He was rushed to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by air ambulance but sadly couldn't be saved.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.
The man's age has not been released by police.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: "A North Wales man has sadly died after getting into difficulties in Bala Lake in Gwynedd.
"Emergency services were called at around 4.50pm. He was recovered from the water and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by air ambulance."
