‘Better than Bellerin’, ‘very high hopes’: Some Arsenal fans rave about 21-year-old’s display
by Giuseppe LabellarteA number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Gunners youngster Jordi Osei-Tutu for his latest goalscoring display on loan at Bochum.
After helping the German second-tier side keep a clean sheet in their goalless draw against Karlsruher on Sunday, the Arsenal loanee scored in their 2-1 win over Holstein Kiel on Wednesday.
Playing further up the flank, Osei-Tutu opened the scoring for the home side with a fine strike from Milos Pantovic’s pass in the 49th minute, his third goal in five games.
Silvere Ganvoula then doubled Bochum’s lead in the 63rd minute before the visitors bagged a consolation goal in the 74th-minute through Jonas Meffert.
The result helped Bochum up to tenth in the 2. Bundesliga, while Osei-Tutu now has an impressive four goals and one assist from 16 league appearances.
Plenty of Arsenal supporters praised the 21-year-old on social media:
Osei-Tutu has been with Arsenal since 2015, when he joined their academy from Reading, and while he hasn’t played for the senior team, he has been named in the matchday squad on a number of occasions.
Up next for Bochum is the trip to Nurnberg on Saturday, 12pm kickoff UK time, and Osei-Tutu could come up against fellow Arsenal loanee Dinos Mavropanos, who has made eight appearances for Der Club.
