Lamborghini Sian Is The Best Lego Car We've Ever Seen

With 3,696 pieces, it even has a working sequential gearbox.

Last year at the 2019 Frankfurt Auto Show, Lamborghini presented the Sian, the Italian automaker's first hybrid supercar and most powerful road car ever. But with only 63 examples being made and an astronomical price tag of $3.7 million, very few people will get to experience this extraordinary machine.

There is now an easier way to own a Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, however, because the hybrid supercar has been given the Lego Technic treatment after a partnership between Lego and Lamborghini was announced earlier this year. The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is only the third model available in the Lego Technic Ultimate series following the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Bugatti Chiron, which feature complex constructions that more closely resemble the real cars. With 3,696 pieces, this is easily the most intricate Lego Technic Ultimate series model yet, excluding the life-size Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron.

Built in 1:18 scale, every detail of the stunning Lamborghini Sian has been replicated, including a replica of the V12 engine, a moveable rear spoiler, and working front and rear suspension, and steering. Opening the scissor doors reveals an intricately detailed cockpit, complete with a fully-functioning eight-speed sequential gearbox that can be controlled with a movable paddle gearshift. The striking green exterior color and golden rims of the replica also match options available for the real Sian. In terms of dimensions, the Lamborghini Sian Lego Technic model measures over five inches high, 23 inches long, and nine inches wide.

"The LEGO brick is an icon in the same way as a Lamborghini super sports car", said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. "They both embody the pursuit of design perfection through constant research and development, create different emotions with every interaction, and are valued by generations."

"Each Lamborghini super sports car can be unique thanks to our Ad Personam personalization program and the specific driving style of each owner, just as LEGO bricks provide builders of all ages with endless possibilities for creation," Domenicali continued. "This outstanding replica of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 from the LEGO Group presents a brilliant new building experience for both super sports car fans and LEGO enthusiasts and Lamborghini is privileged to share this opportunity with the LEGO Group."

Initially, the LegoTechnic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 will be available to buy from Lego stores and Lego's website from June 1 before becoming widely available in other retailers from directly from LEGO stores and LEGO.com/Technic-Lamborghini-Sian from 1 June, then in many retailers globally from 1 August 2020. The Lego Technic Lamborghini Sian will cost $379.99, making it even more expensive than the $349.99-Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron.
