University Final exams: Uddhav Thackeray to speak to Vice-Chancellors on May 30

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has stepped-in as the stalemate over the final year University examination continues.

To discuss the issue, Thackeray will be interacting with the Vice-Chancellors via video conference.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant said that the meeting will take place at 12:30 pm tomorrow.

The development comes amid reports that the Education Minister and Vice-Chancellors are at loggerheads over conducting examinations.

On Thursday, Minister of State (MoS) Prajakt Tanpure had said that the decision will be taken in two-three days.

Samant has already written the UGC to cancel the final year examination.
