AP COVID-19 Update: 2,037 Patients Recovered

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh reported 33 new cases, taking the state's tally to 2,874 on Friday. 

One person has died in Kurnool in the last 24 hours and the death toll stood at 60. Kurnool remains the worst-affected district in the state. 

According to the state's health bulletin at 10 am, 79 people were discharged from COVID-19 designated hospitals. The number of patients recovered
and discharged from the hospital stood at 2,037. 

The active cases in the state are 777. 

In the last 24 hours, 11,638 samples were tested, out of which 33 tested positive. 

In all, 111 active cases of foreign returnees are present in the state, while 345 are cases from other states. 

India’s tally rose to 1,65,799 as the country recorded 7,466 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to the union health ministry on Friday. The death toll in the country reached 4,706 after 175 new fatalities. India is now the ninth worst-hit country, according to the Johns Hopkins University tracker, which is keeping a tally of COVID-19 outbreak across the world.
