The Football Association has given provisional dates for the remainder of the FA Cup campaign as they aim to bring the competition to a conclusion this season.

Football in England was suspended prior to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup due to the coronavirus crisis but the aim has always been for the flagship competition to be completed at a later date.

Following the announcement of the Premier League’s plan to resume the season on June 17, the dates for the remaining rounds of the FA Cup have also been set - with the quarter-finals taking place over the weekend of June 27/28.

The semi-finals will follow over the weekend of July 18/19 and the final will take place on Saturday August 1, which is expected to be the week after the Premier League campaign draws to a close.

"We are pleased to agree the provisional restart date for the 2019-20 Emirates FA Cup," said our chief executive officer, Mark Bullingham.

"The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years, and we’d like to thank the Premier League executive and clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time.

"This has been a difficult period for many people and, while this is a positive step, the restart date is dependent on all safety measures being met. The health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters remains our priority.”

Further information on venues and timings will be announced in due course.
