Man dies after being found seriously hurt in Edinburgh flat as cops tape off scene

A MAN has died after being found seriously hurt in a flat in Edinburgh.

Emergency services raced to the property in North Bughtlin Brae after reports of a concern for a person.

Officers have now confirmed that a man, 47, has died.

And detectives said that their investigations are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.50am on Friday, we received reports of a concern for a person within a property on North Bughtlin Brae in Edinburgh.

“Emergency services attended and a 47-year-old man was found in a serious condition and pronounced dead a short time later.

“Enquiries into the circumstances leading to the man’s death are ongoing.”

Officers could be seen standing guard at a property in the area first thing this morning.

Worried locals spotted the large police presence earlier.
