Five Glasgow teens targeted in hit-and-run murder bid after car ploughs into them as cops hunt driver
by Ewan MowatCOPS are probing a murder bid after a crazed motorist deliberately ploughed into a group of teens in Glasgow.
The men, three aged 18 and two 19-year-olds, were walking on Killin Street in Shettleston just after midnight this morning when the dark-coloured motor sped towards them.
One of the group was rushed to hospital following the targeted attack but later released.
None of the other teens were hurt in the incident.
Police - who are treating the car attack as attempted murder - threw up a cordon on the street and are hunting the driver.
They have urged anyone with information to come forward.
Officers are also reviewing local CCTV to find out the make and model of the car.
Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie said: "Thankfully, no one suffered serious injuries as a result of this incident and enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle.
"Officers are carrying out a review of CCTV in order to establish the make and model of the car, which is described as dark coloured.
"We would be keen to talk to anyone who may have information that would help our investigation or who may have seen anything before or after the incident.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0085 of Friday May 29, 2020, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
