Isko: MIDCC needs frontliners

THE city government of Manila is in need of frontliners for its Manila Infectious Disease Control Center .(MIDCC) located at the Sta. Ana Hospital.

Mayor Isko Moreno said the vacancies are for 30 nurses and ten doctors and one medical technologist which will be in addition to the five medtechs already hired.

The new hires will be assigned at the testing laboratory for COVID-19 which is also being built at the same hospital.

The city of Manila is now putting up its own test lab since according to Moreno, the swabbing process is very expensive and the city government cannot afford to cover all Manila residents numbering millions.

The swab test is the confirmatory step done for those who test positive in the rapid test kits.
