Seeing their plight a lot of common people, business houses and celebrities are also coming forward to help in whatever way they can. Bollywood is not behind either.

Bollywood actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and many others are doing their bit to help as many people as they can and the help is not limited only to the migrant workers. They are helping people from various walks of life, especially the people connected with the film industry. A report states that Yash Raj Films have also provided a financial help of Rs 5,000 each to around 3,000 workers of film industry. Actors like Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty have given Rs 51 lakh each. Sonu Sood
- Sonu Sood opened his Juhu hotel to accommodate medical workers. Later he started providing meals to the underprivileged in Mumbai.
- Now, he has started a “Ghar Bhejo” campaign where he is working hard to send stranded migrants back to their native places. Till now, he has helped more than 13,000 migrants to reach home.
- His team has set up a toll-free number (18001213711) for the poor people. People are also reaching out to him through his various social media platforms.
- The actor delivered meals to 25,000 migrants living in Bhiwandi during the holy month of Ramadan.

Amitabh Bachchan
- Amitabh Bachchan is helping Corona warriors. Bachchan has distributed countless masks, sanitizers and more than 20,000 PPE kits to hospitals in Mumbai.
- He is working continuously with various government projects to aware people about the pandemic.
- Since March he has been distributing food packets every day in various parts of Mumbai including Antop Hill, Dharavi, Haji Ali Dargah, and Juhu.
Akshay Kumar
- Akshay was the first Bollywood celebrity to contribute towards Coronavirus relief funds.
- He donated Rs 25 crores to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) fund.
- He also supported healthcare workers by donating Rs 3 crore to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, to provide PPE and testing kits.

- Bollywood Bhaijaan provided aid to over 25,000 daily wage workers in the film fraternity through his charitable organization, Being Human. He arranged to get Rs.3000 transferred into the accounts of daily wage workers of the film industry.
- Salman celebrated Eid by distributing 5000 packets of ration to the needy and migrant workers.
Priyanka Chopra
- Priyanka Chopra Jonas is also doing her best to help people during this global pandemic. The actress provided 10,000 pairs of footwear to frontline workers in Los Angeles.
- She also sent 10,000 pairs of footwear for medical workers in public and government hospitals in India.
- The actress also supported 25,000 daily wage workers who have been hit badly during the nationwide lockdown.

- Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh is helping over 200-250 families living in a slum near Gurgaon.
- Her family is preparing and sending home-cooked meal two times a day ever since the lockdown was announced.
