James Rodriguez has reportedly been offered to Manchester United as part of a swap deal for Paul Pogba.

French superstar Pogba has long been admired by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and reports suggest the Spanish club have made an ambitious move to lure him away from Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, Madrid have offered Rodriguez, Martin Odegaard, Lucas Vazquez and Brahim Diaz to United in exchange for Pogba.

Colombian playmaker Rodriguez has been heavily linked with a summer transfer to Wolves. The 28-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu and he's only made 13 appearances for the club this season.

Recent reports have claimed Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes could secure him a move to Molineux. Everton, who are managed by former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, and Newcastle United have also been linked with Rodriguez.

Rodriguez's preference is reportedly to join Atletico Madrid, but that transfer isn't likely to be favoured by Real bosses.

A move to the Premier League would suit Rodriguez's current club but whether Wolves, Everton or Newcastle would be able to front up the funds to sign him remains to be seen.

United, meanwhile, are reportedly hoping to keep Pogba and reintegrate him into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting XI.
